Frances Turner June 18, 1953 - October 28, 2020

Frances Louise Turner, 67 passed away at her home in Poplar Grove. A daughter of Owen and Margaret (Smith) Thomas, she was born in Holly Grove and received formal education through the Marvell school system.

On September 15, 1972, Frances and Jimmy Turner were married in a sweet and tender ceremony in Helena, officiated by Judge Fields. She took seriously the role of wife and homemaker, taking great pride in caring for the family home and four children.

Frances enjoyed being with loved ones and friends during the holidays and cookouts. With a skilled hand, she loved to spend time working on crafts, especially creating Popsicle artwork. Other times, she liked to spend evenings watching TV, especially the programs, The Voice and America's Got Talent.
She was preceded in death by parents, Owen and Margaret Thomas, son, Jimmy Turner; daughter, Angie Turner; brothers, Frank Thomas, Owen Thomas; sisters, Betty Wooten and Cindy West.

Immediate survivors include her: husband, Jimmy Turner of Poplar Grove; daughters, Vicky Green of Poplar Grove and Becky Newsom (Allen) of Barton; brothers, William Thomas and Jewel Thomas both of Mississippi; grandchildren, Gary Wheeler, Jr., Jordan Newsom, Brandon Newsom, and Summer Newsom.

Graveside services were October 30 at Central Cemetery in Lexa by the Bob Neal & Sons Brickell Funeral Home in Marvell.
