Donna Marie Cartwright June 17, 1961 - May 26, 2020
Donna Marie Cartwright of Holly Grove passed away at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 58. She was born in Holly Grove to Claude Cartwright Jr. and Bertha Mae Marshbank-Cartwright. Donna received her education from the Holly Grove Public School System. She was a 1979 graduate of Holly Grove High School. After graduating high school, she went on to further her education by attending the University of Arkansas-Monticello.
Donna was a member of Prayer House of Faith Church in Holly Grove for more than 4 years. She was formerly a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church also in Holly Grove, where she sang in the church choir. For more than 10 plus years, Donna was employed as a Certified Nurse Assistant at Crest Park of Stuttgart, before her health begin to fail. She was formerly an employee of Producers Rice Mill in Stuttgart, HazenTech of Hazen for more than three years, and also did seasonal work for United Parcel Service (UPS). She was always a hard-working employee.
“Tussa” a nickname given to Donna by her grandchildren, enjoyed spending vast amounts of time with her family. She loved fishing, cooking for her children and grandchildren, and listening to gospel music. She was a huge fan of gospel artist Lee Williams. She loved watching religious (VTN) and gospel channel. Donna enjoyed traveling with her family. She and her daughter traveled extensively over the years to Tennessee, Kansas, and Missouri as well as numerous other states and cities.
Her father; her son, Rodger Cartwright; her grandson, Daniel Cartwright, all preceded Donna in death. Survivors are: two sons, Danny (Candice) Cartwright, of Sherwood, and Roger Cartwright, of Coffeeville, KS; her daughter, Roshunda Cartwright, of Jacksonville; ten grandchildren; her mother, Bertha Mae Cartwright, of Holly Grove; a brother, Stanley Cartwright, of Holly Grove; two sisters, Demetrice (Derrick) Cartwright-Knox, of Holly Grove, and Janice (Elton Sr.) Cartwright-Farr, of Conway; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Saturday, May 30 at Kingdom Builders Ministries in Holly Grove, with Pastor Patricia Grayson officiating. Interment took place at Hayes Cemetery by Branscumb Johnson & Gilchrest Funeral Home of Brinkley.
