Barron Fitts

Barron Markham Fitts, lovingly known as “Boopy,” passed away suddenly on August 6, 2026, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, at the age of 75.
Born to Beuna Pyron Fitts and Lonnie Fitts on June 24, 1951, Barron was raised on the family farm in Brinkley as the youngest of seven children. Throughout his life, he wore many hats, farmer, truck driver, carpenter, and most importantly, father. He was a jack of all trades who loved to work and could build, fix, or grow just about anything. An avid deer hunter and devoted baseball fan, he proudly passed his work ethic and knowledge on to his children and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Beuna Fitts; his brothers, Pete, Buddy and Wayne Fitts; his sisters, Margaret Hill and Juanita Freeman; and his nephews, Pat and Joe Fitts.
Survivors are his devoted companion and caregiver, Karen Nolan; his song, Eric Fitts and wife, Amanda, of Trumann; his daughter, Jami Johnston and husband, Mike, of Grafton, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Abby Jackson and husband, Clayton, Lucy Fitts, Sawyer Johnston, Caleb Scudder, Leevi Fitts, and Coda Cameron; his great-grandchildren, Parker Jackson, Cason King and Brayden Johnston; his brother, Robert Fitts; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Barron will be remembered for his sense of humor, his unwavering work ethics, and the love he had for his family.
Visitation will be Friday, August 14, 2026 at 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. with memorial services following at Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home in Brinkley.
