February 02, 2026
Larry Don Hill, age 83, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 25, 2026. He was born October 3, 1942.
Larry Don lived a life of faithful service, quiet strength, and deep love for his family and his church. He shared 65 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Carolyn Jean (Heep) Hill. Together they built a Christ-centered home and raised three children, Michael Hill of Fayetteville, Sherry (Hill) Black of Cabot and Matthew Hill of Bentonville. He was a proud and loving grandfather to 11 grandchildren, Clint, Wesley, Rachel, Sarah, Kolby, Hayden, Austin, Jake, Andrew, Mary, and Elizabeth, and a joyful great-grandfather to 10 great-grandchildren, each one a blessing from the Lord. He is survived also by his brother, David Hill of Brinkley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, L.D. and Ollie Nadine Hill of Moro; and his brother, Lee Hill.
Larry was raised on a farm in Moro, where he learned the value of hard work, faith, and family. He graduated from Brinkley High School and often spoke fondly of growing up with his brothers, including the occasional youthful mischief that made for lifelong memories. From an early age , Larry had a gift for music. In his younger years, he was the lead singer of a band called “The Ramblers,” Later, he used that gift to glorify God, singing faithfully in the church choir for many years. Larry was a devoted church member in Clarksdale, Mississippi, where he and Carolyn raised their children in church and taught them to love the Lord. In his later years, he was a faithful member of Balboa Baptist Church in Hot Springs Village.
Larry spent his career working in heating and air conditioning, primarily in Clarksdale, Miss. Known for his honesty, dependability, and strong work ethics, he eventually opened his own business, Hill Heat and Air, before retiring and returning to his home state of Arkansas. He enjoyed Arkansas Razorback sports, especially baseball, and found peace in fishing and gardening. In recent years, he especially cherished time with his beloved dog, Susie, who was his pride and joy. Above all, Larry loved his family and was most proud of his children and grandchildren , and treasured time spent together. Even when he could no longer remember every name, he always knew the joy of being surrounded by family and delighted in their gatherings. His life reflected the character of a godly man, honest, trustworthy, gentle, patient, and kind. He loved deeply and unconditionally.
Larry Don leaves behind a legacy of faith and family. He fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. His faith is now sight, and he rests in the eternal promise of his Savior.
Funeral service was Tuesday, February 3 at Fowler Funeral Home in Brinkley with burial following at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
