Linda Riddle Crabtree

August 19, 2025

Linda Lou Riddle Crabtree, 74, of Brookland, Ark., formerly of Brinkley, went home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Sunday, August 3, 2025 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro after a long illness. She was born June 28, 1951 in Forrest City to the late Lindbergh and Lula Mae Junior Riddle.
Linda spent much of her life in Brinkley before settling in Blytheville, where she was a United States Postal employee mail carrier, and owner of Skateworld. After retirement, she made her home in Brookland. She was a strong, kindhearted woman, one of the sweetest people you could meet. As a beloved grandparent, or as they called her, “MoMo,” she loved to spend time with each and everyone of them. After retirement, she also enjoyed going line dancing and taking care of her beloved cat, Henry.
Linda was a very quiet, giving, and easygoing soul. She lived a long life and loved the Lord. She was a Baptist by faith and a firm believer in God’s Word, the Holy Bible. Above all, she was a generous woman, a true friend, steady and thoughtful in all the ways that mattered.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lindbergh and Lula Mae Riddle; sister, Myrtle Mae Riddle; and brother, Micheal Wayne Freeman. She is survived by two daughters, Deanna (Gregg) Harrison of Brookland and Samantha (Chris) Haling of Navarre Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Judy (Louis) Baynes of Wheatley and Rosa (Buck) Engler of Beebe; seven grandchildren, Alexis Faith, Brandon Faith, Natalie Harrison Teague, Ryan Harrison, Shane Cox, Cameron Yates, and Aiden Haling; and five great-grandchildren, Rhett, Tommy, and Jack Johnson and Kennedy and Rory Teague.
Memorial services were Saturday, August 9 at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Brinkley with Bro. Lonnie Parrish officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Louis Baynes, Buck Engler, Gregg Harrison, Brandon Faith, Ryan Harrison and Shane Cox. Fowler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
