Jerry Wayne Nail, of Brinkley, Arkansas, passed away on May 19, 2025 at the age of 78.   He was born on May 21, 1946, and one of seven children to Floyd and Alma Matlock Nail. The family made their home in Cotton Plant where Jerry led a life filled  with love and cherished memories. He graduated high school in 1964 and went on to  enlist in the United States Air Force. After completing basic training, Jerry served his country with pride as an Airplane Mechanic in Vietnam before returning home in 1968.
After his military service, Jerry worked various jobs, including a short time at McDonalds. It was here that he met the love of his life Beverly Gay Stice. In 1987 they made the choice of a lifetime commitment and chose to remain in Brinkley to make their home. Together they found their calling as the owners of Nails Lawn Care and Maintenance. Jerry and Beverly soon became well known in the community for their hard work and dedication to their business, leaving a lasting impact on those they served.
Jerry had many hobbies and interests, especially a passion for classic cars, motorcycles, and drag racing. His eyes lit up when he spoke about his corvette, dodge charger, and panel wagon, which he enjoyed showcasing at car shows and in local parades. He loved taking rides on his Volkswagen Trike, going hiking and camping with his family or just listening to the tunes of oldies but goodies while working in his shop.
Jerry's faith was also central to his life. He accepted Christ as his personal savior during his teenage years and enjoyed times of worship at Brinkley Missionary Baptist Church. Jerry will be remembered for his kindness and unwavering love for his family. His legacy of service and commitment to his community will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Preceding him in death are his parents, his beloved wife Beverley Gay Nail, his son Travis Nail, and his siblings Leon, Billy Don, Hollis, and Betty.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Misty Matthews, his grandchildren Micah and Allie Matthews, his brothers, Jimmy (Margaret) Nail and Larry Nail along with a host of extended family and friends. Jerry will forever be missed, but will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. No services are planned at this time. Guestbook/obituary www.bobnealandsons.com
