Dan passed away on December 4, 2024 at Baptist Hospital Oxford after a brief illness. He was 80 years old technically, but was really only 20 as a Leap Year baby. Dan was a 30-year retired Sergeant Major of the 332nd Medical Brigade of Memphis, TN. He was a 1962 graduate of Ponca City High School where he was all American baseball player. He attended Oklahoma State University on a baseball scholarship and later transferred to Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. He was an avid deer and duck hunter and loved spending his time off at the Stanley Farm in Cotton Plant, AR, where he found solace and was at peace with God and mankind.
