Gary Thomas Brown

Gary Thomas Brown, 68, passed away at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas on November 28th, 2024. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on April 11th, 1956, to the late Alfred Jr. and Tommie Moss Brown. He was raised in Clarendon, Arkansas where he graduated high school and became a well-known “River Rat”. Gary was one of the first two certified paramedics in Arkansas before furthering his education and obtaining his degree in Mortuary Science at the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. He went on to work in the family funeral home and dedicated the next 30 years of his life to serving the grieving and heart-broken after the death of their loved one. After his three decades in the mortuary business, Gary spent his time driving trucks and living his life to the fullest. He always had compassion for the world even through the past two years living with his wife, Angela, at The Springs of Brinkley. Gary is survived by his wife, Angela Ellis Brown; two sons, Cory and Cameron Brown; one daughter, Caitlin Brown; and his brother David (Deborah) Brown. There will be an hour visitation from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 5th at Brown Funeral Home, Clarendon with Gary’s funeral service starting at 2:00 pm. His interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery, Clarendon.
