Franklin Sweeney
October 16, 2024
Franklin Sweeney, better known to friends and family as Bo Sweeney, of Wheatley, AR, passed away on September 26, 2024, at the age of 62. Bo was born in South Haven, Michigan on September 10, 1962, to Earl Sweeney and the late Carol Sweeney. Bo could always be found with a smile on his face and his beloved dogs by his side.He never met a stranger and never turned down the chance to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, asking nothing in return. Bo loved many things in his life, but he loved nothing more than being surrounded by his family and friends with a beer in hand and having laughter spread throughout the room. You could always find him outside on his back porch swinging, chasing his dogs or working in the yard. Occasionally if you looked up you may have even seen him on a roof top working a time or two!
Bo is preceded in death by his four grandparents; and his mother, Carol Sweeney. He is survived by his three daughters, Alicia Sweeney (Steven Palmer) of Dallas, Texas, Chelsie Wickliffe (Shane Wickliffe) of Corsicana, Texas, and Katie Warren (Paul Ashford) of Palestine, Texas; four grandsons (Peyton, Steven, Michael, and Keeton); one granddaughter (Allison); his father, Earl Sweeney of Judsonia, Ark.; his three sisters, Charlotte (Timothy) Sparks of New Salem, AR, Glenda Burns of Judsonia AR, and Chris (Todd) White of Maumelle, AR. He had many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
The family would also like to recognize two of Bo’s best friends, which he spent most of his days with Ray Norwood and David Clay of Wheatley, AR., and his special friend who he also spent an abundance of his time with throughout the years, Tonia Wheeler of Moro, AR.
A Memorial service to celebrate Bo’s life was held at Fowler Funeral home in Brinkley, on October 8. In lieu of flowers the family asks that everyone take a moment to spend time with their families and their friends, make as many special memories as you can together, and smile at every passing stranger. Just as Bo would.
