Howard David Gibbs

Howard David Gibbs, a beloved member of the Hot Springs Village Community, passed away peacefully at the age of 90, on September 10, 2024, due to natural causes, following a fall.
He was a dedicated farmer and in his early years, owned and operated the David Gibbs Rice Dryer and Grain Storage Company in Brinkley. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He served in the United States Navy, and attended the Arkansas State College at Jonesboro. His gentle nature and passion for gardening, welding and reading brought joy to those around him. His presence will be deeply missed.
David is survived by his loving wife, Rita; two sisters; one daughter; 3 step-children; and seven grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Roberta Gibbs; a brother, Robert Gibbs; and two daughters, Leslie and Shelley.
A celebration of his life will be held in his honor on Saturday, October 5, at 1 p.m. at Huntington Church located at 901 W. Huntington Ave. in Jonesboro. Family and friends are invited to gather and remember him.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and warmth that will be cherished by all who knew him.
