Jean Magee Smith

Jean Magee Smith, 81, of Cabot, passed away on December 14, 2023, due to congestive heart failure and complications from RSV.

She was formerly of Brinkley and a longtime member of the Oak Forest United Methodist Church in Little Rock.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Charles A. “Fibber” Magee and Mary Juanita Hawkins Magee of Brinkley; and her sister, Libby Magee Cottengim of Nixa, MO. Survivors are her son, Clark E. Etheridge II (Rebecca) of Lyon, MS; granddaughters, Louise Carpenter (Collin) of Marion, and Maggie Etheridge of Lyon, MS; and precious great-granddaughter, Josie Lane Carpenter. She is also survived by her twin sister, Kaye Magee Osburn of Jacksonville; nephew, Trey Osburn (Cathie) of Jacksonville; and her best friend of over 40 years, Byrdie McSwain of Cabot; along with two adorable rescue puppies, Sunshine and Stella Lee.

A celebration and burial will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery in Brinkley at a later date.
