Helen Beatrice Brann Weatherly

Helen Beatrice Brann Weatherly, 96, of Wilmot, died Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at the Carroll Point Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Oak Grove, Louisiana. Mrs. Weatherly was a native of Clarendon, a former resident of Brinkley, having moved to Wilmot in 1968. She was a farmer’s wife and a member of the Harvest Assembly of God Church in Oak Grove, Louisiana. Mrs. Weatherly enjoyed working on the farm with her husband, working in her yard, and painting.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Charles Weatherly in 2000; two daughters, Judy Charlene Bailey and Barbara Ann Fitts; her parents, Travis and Maggie Simmons Brann; four sisters, Mildred McGraw, Mamie Glover, Gladys Skinner, and Patsy Willis; a brother, Roy Brann and two half-brothers, Lloyd Rogers and Ed Rodgers.

She is survived by two sons, Ricky Weatherly and wife, Lana, and Phillip Weatherly and wife, Mary, all of Wilmot; a daughter, Cindy Cossey of Fountain Hill; a brother, Travis Brann and wife, Lucy, of Hot Springs; two sisters, Mary Dooley of Little Rock and Ann Derrick and husband, Opal, of Greenbrier; 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 2 p.m., Friday, September 16, 2022, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Bearden and Rev. Lee Weatherly officiating. Burial will be in the Wilmot Cemetery. Pallbearers are Clinton Weatherly, Bobby Bailey, Cecil Ray Cossey, Harold Fitts, Jonathan Bailey, and Blake Weatherly. Honorary pallbearer is Ryan Fitts.
