Russell “Eddie” Henry, age 78, died at his home in Brinkley, Arkansas on September 7, 2022. He was born on November 25, 1943 to Lucille Henry and the late Roy Henry. Eddie graduated from Clarendon Schools in 1962 and Spartan School of Flight in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1965. On November 4, 1967, he married his wife, Sandra. They welcomed their only son, Darrin, on July 14, 1970.

Eddie worked as a devoted agricultural pilot for 48 years. He established his own company, Henry’s Aerial Service, in March of 1981. His love for aviation was passed onto his son, leading the company to develop into an aerial firefighting organization. Eddie enjoyed traveling to work at fire bases across the country, experiencing a different perspective of aviation. He was also an avid hunter and enjoyed taking a break to spend time with friends in the quiet woods. Eddie was a problem solver that tackled difficult projects at work and around the house. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

Russell is survived by his wife, Sandra Henry; son, Darrin Henry (Marla) of Greenbrier; granddaughter, Emma Henry of Greenbrier; mother, Lucille Henry of Brinkley, and brother, Rodger Henry of Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Henry, and brother, James Henry. No visitation will be scheduled. A graveside service was held at Oaklawn Cemetery in Brinkley on Saturday September 10, 2022. Arrangements by Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home.
