Obituary- Betty Chastain

Betty Diane Chastain passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at the age of 65. She was born on November 4, 1956 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the family of Erman and Emma Pearl Chastain. Betty was raised in Clarendon, Arkansas, where she received formal education through the public schools, graduating with the Class of 1974. She was blessed to share in childhood memories along with seven siblings.

Betty was blessed in life to become a homemaker and mother. Betty's main interest in life was loving and caring for her son Bradley. She was an amazing baker and spent many hours baking to raise money for the March of Dimes. Betty never got to experience being a grandmother, but she had a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members that she loved dearly.

She worked outside the home at Riceland Foods located in Stuttgart. As a dedicated and valued employee she remained with the company for twenty five years before deciding to retire and enjoy time with family and friends.

Betty knew the importance of a relationship with her Saviour Jesus Christ and in times of worship attended the First Assembly of God Church. She spent a lot of her time listening and reading Christian music and books.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; Erman and Emma Chastain, brother Charles Chastain, and sisters, Jeanette Martin and Wanda Robinson, brother in law, Johnny Holladay

She is survived by her son, Bradley Erman Chastain, brothers, J.T. Chastain (Joyce) of Stuttgart, Larry Chastain (Jan) of Heber Springs, sisters, Phyllis Holladay of Stuttgart, Patricia Chastain (Michael)of Holly Grove and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
