Brian Michael Cosby, of Wheatley, formerly of Texas City, TX, passed away suddenly at the age of 48.

He was born in Bell County, TX on to Debra (Arnold) Charping and Ben Cosby. Brian was a member of the Baptist Church in Texas City, TX, and enjoyed going to church as a young boy with his grandfather, Byrle (PawPaw) Arnold, where he learned how important a relationship with God is.

Brian met his wife, Somer (Thomas) Cosby in 2009. They were the best of friends for several years before their courtship. Brian married Somer on Feb 14, 2015. He joined Somer as a member of the First United Methodist Church in Brinkley and very much enjoyed going to church with his family. Brian was the President of the Racquet Club in Brinkley from 2019-2021. Most recently, Brian worked at L&N Farms in Wheatley. Brian was a city boy turned farmhand and enjoyed his job very much. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and children and loved to cook for his family.

Survivors are his wife of seven years, Somer Short Thomas Cosby; two sons, Mikael Tullos (24), and Brian Cosby (9); daughter, Zoe Tullos (16); parents, Debra (Ron) Charping of Texas City, TX, and Ben Cosby of Winchester, MA; brother Eric Charping (Dan Murphy) of Georgetown, TX; sister, Carly Charping of Texas City, TX; grandparents, Coy and Deloris Charping of Kileen TX; nephews, Coy, Ollin, Nieces, Eris and Nova.

Funeral services were Wednesday, February 16 at the First United Methodist Church in Brinkley. Burial followed in Johnson Cemetery. Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home were in charge of the arrangements.
